What Anxieties I Work With

phobias

Phobias

Is there one thing in particular that terrifies you?

Phobias are more than just a dislike. They are even more than just fear. The fear is so intense that you go out of your way to avoid what you fear the most. And this can work… for a while. But sooner or later, you may have to face your fear.

  • board an airplane
  • be in a room with a dog, or a spider or a mouse
  • get an injection
  • visit the dentist
  • be in a confined space
  • drive on the motorway
  • go to the 35th floor of a building

I can help you to:

  1. Understand your phobia and what keeps it going
  2. Reduce the symptoms of phobia to a manageable level
  3. Regain a sense of control and live life to the full again

Are you avoiding certain situations due to panic?

Panic attacks can be a terrifying experiences. They often come “out of the blue” with little or no warning. They can develop rapidly over the course of just a few minutes to an intense level of fear. Such an intense and unpleasant experience that appears without warning can leave you worrying about when it might happen again.

It doesn’t have to be this way. I have helped people who have suffered in this way for many years to learn to understand and master their panic allowing them to feel calm, confident and in control again.

Generalised Anxiety

Are you anxious most of the time?

Is constant anxiety affecting your work? Your social life? Your relationships?

Generalised anxiety is pervasive and persistent. It bothers you on most days and it can go on for months or years. Very often, there is no specific focus for the anxiety – you can be anxious about just about anything including everyday events and anxious about more than one thing at a time. And even if you solved one area of anxiety, you may find another to take it’s place.

Does any of this sound familiar?

  • Worrying about 2 or more things most of the time
  • Feeling “on edge”
  • Trembly, shaky, tense, aching muscles
  • Feeling nauseous, churning stomach
  • Difficulty concentrating

It’s exhausting, isn’t it?

It doesn’t have to be this way. I have helped people who have suffered in this way for many years to learn to master their anxieties and their worries allowing them to feel calm and in control again.

Working together, I will show you how to

  1. Understand your worry and what keeps it going
  2. Reduce the symptoms of anxiety to a manageable level
